During a speech in South Carolina on Saturday January 28th, the current President of the United States, known for his gaffes, made a mistake when referring to his rival, calling him “current president” prompting jeers from Republicans.

In addition to his many falls in front of the cameras, Joe Biden is no stranger to such gaffes. Among them, his famous "Repeat the line" during an embarrassing speech in which the Democratic president seemed a little too focused on his teleprompter. More recently, during a visit to Vietnam, the American president was invited to speak on global warming, when he referred to a John Wayne film depicting "lying ,dog-faced pony soldiers". During his 2020 campaign, he declared himself a "candidate for the Senate", but was mistaken about the office he was seeking. During a visit to Saudi Arabia, he had confused " egoism " with " altruism " when describing Americans: " We always honor bravery and egoism ", he had declared. Back in 2008, he invited Senator Chuck Graham to stand up, even though the latter was in a wheelchair.

The former president, who was also in South Carolina, took to social networking sites to voice his criticism of his successor.  "This geriatric old man is no longer capable of governing, what a disgrace to America," he declared on the Truth Social platform, which he has been using since deleting his Twitter account.

In the rest of his message, Donald Trump called, without much seriousness, on Vice President Kamala Harris to make use of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, in order to declare the president unfit to govern. "If you're going to be led by fools, they'd better not be senile “ had he concluded.
